Billy Crawford & The Lowdown

ft. Smokin' Joe is a hard-driving blues band built on deep tradition, tight musicianship, and undeniable soul. Fronted by guitarist and vocalist Billy Crawford, whose career includes performing alongside blues legend Deborah Coleman, the band delivers raw, modern blues powered by 'Smokin' Joe Splawn’s Texas-bred Hammond B3 and commanding vocals, with Robert McClain’s thick, steady bass and Shaun Splawn’s dynamic, groove-locked drumming holding it all together. Blending originals with reimagined blues classics, the band’s sound is gritty, soulful, and unapologetically live, making them a standout force on the Southern and Appalachian blues circuits.

Daniel Anderson & Heroic Dose

As a native of North Carolina, Daniel was steeped in a rich tapestry of musical influences from blues to gospel, country, and hip-hop. Music became his refuge, especially after the tragic loss of his father. At age 11, he received his first electric guitar, marking the beginning of a deep, personal connection with music.
In his teens, Daniel delved into the British blues revival and the Delta and Hill Country blues, drawing inspiration from legends like Robert Johnson and R.L. Burnside. A pivotal encounter with Derek Trucks in 2003 led him to embrace slide guitar, a skill that became a hallmark of his style.
Daniel's early career saw him performing across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. In 2009, he toured with a signed artist but returned to focus on teaching and local gigs in 2010. Between 2015 and 2021, he performed nationwide and co-wrote several regional chart-topping songs.
Despite his success as a sideman, Daniel sought to lead his own musical journey. In 2022, he formed "Daniel Anderson and Heroic Dose," a band that fuses his blues roots with psychedelia and roots-rock. Their debut single, "Stuck With Trouble," is now available on major streaming platforms, showcasing Daniel's unique artistic vision.
